Let us love one another, for love is God. And every one that loveth is born of God and

knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God, for God is love." "If we love one

another, God dwelleth in us and his love is perfected in us.

Bible, 1st John 4:7

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.  Let not you heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

-- Bible, John 14:27

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels and have not love,
I am become as sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge,
and though I have all faith so that I could remove mountains and have not love,
I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor,
and though I give my body to be burned and have not love,
it profith me nothing.
Love suffereth long and is kind.
Love envieth not.
Love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doeth not behave itself unseemly.
Seeketh not her own.
Is not easily provoked.
Thinketh no evil.
Rejoiceth not in inequity, but rejoiceth in the truth.
Bareth all things.
Believeth all things.
Hopeth all things.
Endureth all things.
Love never fails.
But where there be propheses they shall fail,
whether there be tounges, they shall cease,
whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

...And now abideth only faith, hope, love - these three,
but the greatest of these is love.

-- Bible, 1 Corinthians 13 (abridged)

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?  Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

--Bible, Matthew 6:25-34

If you bring forth that which is within you,

that which is within you will save you.

If you don't bring forth that which is within you,

that which is within you will destroy you.

--Bible, (Gnostic Gospel ) Gospel of Thomas

The tao that can be told
is not the eternal Tao
The name that can be named
is not the eternal Name.
The unnameable is the eternally real.

Naming is the origin
of all particular things.
Free from desire, you realize the mystery.
Caught in desire, you see only the manifestations.
Yet mystery and manifestations
arise from the same source.
This source is called darkness.
Darkness within darkness.
The gateway to all understanding.

The one who neither rejoices nor grieves, neither likes nor dislikes, who has renounced both the good and the evil, and is full of devotion; is dear to Me.

The one who remains the same towards friend or foe, in honor or disgrace, in heat or cold, in pleasure or pain; who is free from attachment; who is indifferent to censure or praise; who is quiet, and content with whatever he or she has; unattached to a place, a country, or a house; equanimous, and full of devotion ¾ that person is dear to Me.

--Bhagavad Gita (12.17-19)

Wanting nothing, With all your heart stop the stream.

When the world dissolves, everything becomes clear.

Go beyond this way or that way, to the farther shore,
where the world dissolves and everything becomes clear.

Beyond this shore and the farther shore, beyond the beyond,
where there is no beginning, no end.

Without fear, go.

Meditate.  Live purely.  Be quiet.  Do your work, with mastery.

--Dhammapada
